Customized cabinets drive overall growth in cabinet sales | Woodworking Network

According to the monthly business trend survey of the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA), cabinet manufacturers report that compared with the same month in 2020, overall cabinet sales in September 2021 increased by 7.9%.

In terms of sales, KCMA reported that customized sales increased by 27.2%, semi-custom sales decreased slightly by 0.1%, and inventory sales increased by 9.6%.

The monthly comparison (September 2021 to August 2021) figures continue to climb steadily:

According to the report, year-to-date sales have remained strong across the board. Overall, compared with the same period in 2020, cabinet sales increased by 15.8%. Customized sales increased by 21.3%, semi-customized sales increased by 13.1%, and inventory sales increased by 16.6%.

Survey participants include stocks, semi-custom and custom companies, whose total sales account for approximately 75% of the US kitchen cabinet and bathroom cabinet market.
